Parish Church of St. George, Dorchester

Building of this church began in 1719, and it was enlarged in the 1730′s.

By 1766 the tower had four bells.

It was burned by the British in the Revolution. The church was repaired afterwards, but it feel into disuse and decay after the population moved away.
